January 2016 ALAP Meeting Recap
We kicked off the New Year with a potluck meeting January 15. We started with a Skyped-in update from ODOM Re-Use and ALAP founder Bruce Odom who gave us a quick video tour of his Grand Rapids location. Bruce shared some perspectives after his first year with his second location and the differences between the Grawn and GR markets. After that, we switched the discussion to ALAP business, including plans to staff a table at the upcoming Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference on January 30. We should have some signage and flyers ready to go by then and will rotate turns meeting folks who stop by. Our goal is to use this great event to network with both potential ALAP members and entrepreneurs who might have some future projects they are seeking local funding for. It looks like we’ll have two presenters at our 2/11 meeting. Details will be sent out to the ALAP e-distribution list as we get closer to that date. Be safe and stay warm this winter!
